 Eligible participants may receive:

  • Tuition payments for approved training programs
  • Book payments
  • Child Care
  • Travel Reimbursement
  • Purchase of uniforms and tools
  • Other services necessary for program participation

WIA In-School Youth Program

Serves income eligible youth who are ages 16-21 and enrolled in secondary or Post Secondary school, need help with basic skills or score below 8.9 in reading and/or math assessment, and who have additional barriers to employment including but not limited to being a teen parent, an offender, a foster child or a youth with a documented disability.

WIA Out-Of-School Youth Program

Serves young people ages 16-21 who are no longer attending a secondary or Post Secondary educational facility and includes drop-outs or graduates who need additional assistance to obtain or retain employment.

WIA Adult Program

Serves individuals 18 years old and up with on-the-job or classroom training in order to secure employment. Applicants must be willing to actively seek employment to participate in the program.

WIA Dislocated Workers Program

Serves individuals who have been laid-off from their jobs to obtain the training necessary to re-enter the job market. Classroom and on-the-job training are available. Services are available to “Displaced Homemakers” who have been unemployed and dependent on the income of another but are no longer supported by that income. In addition to spouses of dislocated workers, this can also include those affected by divorce or death of a working spouse.
