The Edwards County Farm Bureau Women's Committee will be conducting a fundraiser for WADI from May 20th to June 2, 2012. It is being called "You've been Cowed for Pigged".
Signs displaying the pigs or cows will be placed in the yards of residents in the county. There will be two groups of 25 signs each. In order to get the signs moved out of their yard, residents will have to make a donation to WADI for their food pantry. They will also get to decide whose yard the signs get to go to next.
If the signs are placed in your yard, residents are asked to call the Farm Bureau office at 445.2113, and let them know who you are and where you want the signs moved to next. A Women's Committee member will then be by within 24 hours to move the signs to their next location. When they arrive, you can give them your donation.
If anyone does not wish to have signs placed in their yard, they can buy insurance against placement of the signs. Insurance is a cash donation to WADI. If you want to buy insurance, stop by the Farm Bureau office and make a donation.
