The HOPE program is a new service offered by the Anna Bixby Women's Center in Harrisburg.  It's designed to empower people of all walks of life to achieve economic and emotional stability and independence within a supportive and secure environment. 

If you and/or family are homeless:

  • with an income
  • have a medical or mental disability
  • are a victim of domestic violence
  • or you are a veteran

willing to work toward independence this could be an opportunity for you. 

Services are confidential and sensitive to individuals from all lifestyles, cultures and abilitiesYou have a choice to be independent and have a home of your own. 

Services provided:  temporary housing, supportive services, legal, medical advocacy, one on one counseling, life skills development, budgeting and parenting classes, employment training, job readiness, safety planning, transportation assistance, childcare resources, food pantry/soup kitchen and a 24 hour hotline for emergencies and support.
